Introduction
Digital projects are activities that require capabilities within organizations. The latest advances in software and hardware have greatly improved access to and usability of new technologies; however, successful implementation requires people who can understand the potential and limitations of digital approaches and know how to make the most of the tools available.
Digital projects require new capabilities, new roles, and new business functions. People are needed with experience in companies’ products and production processes; for example, technology specialists with knowledge in areas such as: IIoT, Big Data, Industry 4.0, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Twins, and Machine Learning, capable of running agile programs or designing an engaging user experience.
