Integrating process excellence with the adoption of digital technologies, Industry 4.0, is today more than a trend—it is a reality in some industrial sectors, as under the digital transformation philosophy, companies can rapidly achieve greater quality and efficiency in products and services. Digitalization in industrial processes involves organizational flexibility through innovative methods in the machine-process-people circuit. A roadmap for change is necessary toward aligning business strategy with digital processes and organizational culture, supported at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels of the organization, and with a strategy-technology-leadership approach that enables the success of the strategy sustained by the contribution of human talent, fostering effective communication and support from senior management.
